Be Still.

On the clouds,
In the valleys,
Be still.
In the desert,
In the seas,
Be still.
Among the wildflowers,
Among the rocks,
Be still.
Do not run,
Do not fear,
Be still.
Let joy wash over you.
Let sorrow wash over you.
Be still.
Let anxiety wash over you.
Let peace wash over you.
Be still.
Be still in faith.
Be still in hope.
Be still in love.
For all else passes;
But these three remain.
Be still.
On a morning when my soul wants to rush into my day, when I think of all those I am praying for and am anxious to see how God answers the prayer- I stop and am still before the Lord our God and Maker. Knowing this stillness isn’t laziness, it’s trust
